Let me tell you why I need to come back home to do medicine

Waiting to Die – A Joy News Story

I am cognizant of the fact that it is not going to be as easy as it seems, changing everything we want to about our healthcare system. I am cognizant of the fact that it is easier said than done. I am cognizant of the fact that my personal journey ahead may be longer than I imagine. I am cognizant of the fact that there are medical officials making ground-breaking progress all over the continent, working tirelessly to do all they can do with the little they have to work with. But I am also cognizant of this – that our frustrations must translate to purposeful and useful action, and that action, no matter how little, idealistic, unorthodox, difficult – will yield fruitful results if we believe and have our priorities right.

Until then God help us all.
